Sequoia Cargo Pants by Itch to Stitch Designs

Sewing Level: Intermediate

Fabric: Wovens

I made size and View (if applicable): 12

My mods: left off the back pocket flaps and sewed the fly a little differently. I also added pockets for knee pads then removed them and sewed the knee pads directly on to the pants.

Description: Cargo pants with zipper fly, snap waist and rib waistband with elastic.

Notes: Another garment for my gardening capsule. The waistband is very tricky to sew. And once I was done it was too large. I got REALLY lucky and when I washed them, the rib knit shrank a bit more. I think it's advisable to either make it smaller than you or add a drawcord.

The front pockets are a different denim since I used scraps to make them (they're for the garden). They're a loose fit, very comfortable. I'll definitely make these again. I do not need the fly to get them off and on. Maybe the waistband could be solid rib and elastic with a drawcord instead.
